[canon] Area Conversations

MEIKO: Rui, I heard that you're building some pop-out props for KAITO's show stage.
MEIKO: It's amazing how you're not only good with stage direction, but can build your own props as well!
Rui:: Hehe, fiddling with machinery is the most I can do.
Rui:: Most of the heavy lifting is done by KAITO and the plushies. Things like gathering materials and assembling them using the blueprints.
MEIKO: Oh, don't be so modest. Anyway, when will the equipment be ready?
Rui:: Very soon. We'll test it by making Tsukasa fly first, before finishing up the final adjustments.
MEIKO: My, that sounds like fun! I'll be there to see it happen ♪

Rui: Such great weather today. Barely any wind either, so the drones won't have any problems. These conditions are perfect for a street performance.
Rui: Hehe, I've been dying to try out my new show. Time to get set up.

Emu: There they are! Nene! Rui! Look! This place is selling pajamas with a three-headed dog on them!
Nene: Wow... It's a bit distorted, but that's Cerberus all right.
Rui: Who would have guessed they'd have such strange pajama designs. This shop sure has an odd assortment of products.
Nene: Is there really a demand for this sort of thing?
Rui: Who knows. I think people who put on performances like we do might find these sorts of designs interesting, though.
Rui: Alright, Emu. Since we're here, let's see if we can't find some hidden gems! What do you say?!
Emu: Okaaaay ♪
Nene: You're getting even more into this than she is.

Rui: Hehehe. Tsukasa, this is just a prototype, but I finished the popper-upper. Care to give it a try?
Tsukasa: Oh! You mean the hidden pad that'll launch me up from beneath the stage? How high will I go?
Rui: I'm not sure. I would guess about ten meters.
Tsukasa: Ten meters?! I'd break through the roof!

Rui: Hey, Tsukasa. How would you like exchange my healthy veggie sandwich for that awful, high-calorie fried pork boxed lunch of yours?
Tsukasa: What's with you and trying to make these absurd trades? There's no way I'm agreeing to that.
Rui: How heartless... Are you saying you're looking forward to watching me suffer as I'm forced to eat this veggie sandwich? Oh, woe is me! Such a cruel friend you are!
Tsukasa: Stop shouting and making me look like the bad guy! It's not my fault you hate vegetables!

Mizuki: Oh? Is that Rui I see?
Rui: Well, if it isn't Mizuki. Doing some shopping?
Mizuki: Yep! You too?
Rui: Hehehe...
Mizuki: You're planning on making a scene again, aren't you? Mind if I watch?
Rui: You don't have to say it like that. However, I never turn away an audience.

Rui: Buy three or more items and receive a free balloon animal? That's a great idea for the kids, but these animals don't look very well made.
Rui: I don't see the shopkeeper anywhere. Let me just...
Rui: There. A balloon Stegosaurus. Hehe. Whichever lucky kid gets that is sure to be pleased.
Rui: I bet it'll give the shopkeeper a bit of a surprise, too.

Rui: Hehehe...
Akito: What's with the guy surrounded with all the robots and drones? He looks kind of familiar...
Rui: Oh, hello there.
Akito: Ack! You're a junior at the same school as me!
Akito: (I gotta get out of here before it's too late! No way I want to end up like Tsukasa.)

Rui: Hello, Len. KAITO said you were looking for me. What can I do for you?
Len: Rui! Well, I'm going to be in charge of lighting for the next show, so I was wondering if you could give me some pointers.
Rui: Hm... I'm guessing you didn't volunteer for this, did you? KAITO assigned this job to you, correct?
Len: Yeah! How did you know?
Rui: Hehe. Learning about the ins and outs of stage management will help you grow as a performer.
Rui: I think perhaps KAITO believes you show promise, and that's why he asked you to do this.
Len: You think so?! Then I'm gonna work even harder! Please teach me everything you know!
Rui: It would be my pleasure.

Rui: Why is it that every single show on tv about eating healthy tells you to eat vegetables?
Rui: If you ask me, they all taste like they should be bad for your health.

Emu: Hello, Rui!
Rui: Hehe. I see you've come again. Great job making it all the way over here.
Emu: Hehehe. I made sure to say hi to everyone I passed on the way. It's all good.
Rui: They most likely sensed trouble and therefore decided to feign ignorance so as to not get involved.
Rui: Well, since you're here, why don't we go find Tsukasa and Nene?
Emu: Yay! Tsukasa! Nene! Come out, come out, wherever you are ♪

Rui: We'll head to Phoenix Wonderland as soon as Nene arrives.
Emu: Okay! I can't wait for today's rehearsal ♪
Tsukasa: You say that so casually for someone who keeps sneaking in here from a different school!
Emu: Oh come on Tsukasa. I've been here so many times that I thought you'd be over that by now.
Tsukasa: Coming more often doesn't make it better! If a teacher catches you...
Rui: Don't worry. If that happens, we have you to act as a decoy while I help her escape.
Tsukasa: Can you two at least save your reckless behavior for the stage?!

Tsukasa: Hm... What to do, what to do...
Emu: Huh? What's wrong, Tsukasa? You look so serious.
Rui: She's right. However, I have a feeling it's something quite bothersome, so perhaps it would be better to discuss our next show instead.
Tsukasa: Well, here's the thing! My sister has been back at school for a while now with no health problems, so I wanted to organize some sort of surprise celebration!
Rui: Oh, I guess we're talking about it, then.
Tsukasa: Only because you two would ignore me otherwise. Anyway, I'm in need of ideas!
Tsukasa: In return for me always assisting you two, I'm enlisting your cooperation in throwing her a surprise party.
Rui: Hehe. If the goal is to bring a smile to someone's face, I see no reason to refuse.
Rui: Wouldn't you agree, Emu?
Emu: Of course! We'll come up with something so great your sister won't know what hit her ♪
